,

PUBL/C WORKS
. -
,y. On Sheet CO3, the alley is shown with a different hatch pattern than all other
proposed asphalt on the site plan. Is this alley paving to remain existing or will it
be proposed re-paving with the development? If proposed, please update the
hatch pattern to inatch all other asphalt paving. If existing, please show the
trenching extents for the proposed usidergrotmd power.
vi. On Sheet C04, the proposed curb ramp technically meets maximum allowable
slopes, however is a very tight tolerance for contractors to meet in the field. If the
constructed ramp exceeds, it will have to bc redone. Additionally, as designed,
there are very steep (and in my opinion unnecessary) slopes behind the curb ramp
as it transitions into the landscaping. I would highly recommend making the
ramp slopes a bit shallower to create a nice landing and gentle transition into the
landscaping. This will help with safety and maintenance in this area.
vii. On Sheet C04, a cross walk is required north-south across 10`' St. Stop Bar and
Cross walk striping and location shall meet standard design requirements.
viii. On Sheet C06, where is the mechanical room located within the building? Please
show this on the site plan (dashed approximate lines are acceptable with a label).
The RPBA on the domestic service line and the DCDA on the fire service line
can be located within fhe mechanical room if the distance from the water service
connections to the main and the mechanical room does not exceed 70ft. This
distance is the maximum allowable piping length (total of both outside of the
building and plumbitig inside of the buildiu fiotu main to ineclianical rooin) iii
order for the RPBA and DCDA to be inside the mechanical room. Otherwise,
tlic iiust hc Icatcd utsicic c[tllc builjib in aul.
ix. On Sheet C06, if the 4" fire service is proposed as a dedicated fire service, then a
DCDA in the vault is sufficient (instead of compound meter).
x. On Sheet C06, please make a note on the plans (near key note 3) that City of
Everett crews will do the tap at the main and will install the 2" domestic meter.
An RPBA is required at the premiss downstream of the meter. If placing RPBA
inside building's mechanical room, please make a note on the plans calling this
out.
2. The comments below were generated from this project's Stormwater Reviewer. If you have any
questions regarding these comments, please contact Jane Zimmerman with the City of Everett
Public Warks Department (425-257-8885 or JZiminerman(a,everettwa.gov).
a. Pump related:
i. The pump design, selection, and specification selection information must be
provided in both the report and on the plans for the initial installation. If/when
one of the pumps fails in the fiiture, there must be enough information given to
allow the City's inspector and the site owner to identify a suitable replacement
pump.
ii. Pump calculations are required showing the determination of the total dynamic
head. In addition, the system curve (the pump's total dynamic head versus the
flo ratc in ihc systcil) shuld bc plottcd on t11c scicctcd pump's characicristic
curve in order to show the pump's operating point.
