• <br /> 1 Work Started Without Permit, <br /> Except Emergency Work $30.00 plus double fee <br /> 2 <br /> Fire Alarm Systems Commercial Rate <br /> 3 <br /> Inspections outside of normal working hours shall be time and one-half of <br /> 4 the prevailing wage scale, plus mileage from the origin of inpsector's <br /> residence. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 B. The National Electrical Code is hereby amended by deleting the following: <br /> 7 <br /> ARTICLE 700-12. SOURCES OF POWER - EMERGENCY SYSTEMS <br /> 8 <br /> (c) Emergency systems. <br /> 9 <br /> (d) Separate Service. Where acceptable to the authority having <br /> 10 jurisdiction, a second service shall be permitted. This service shall <br /> be in accordance with Article 230, with separate service drop or <br /> 11 lateral, widely separated electrically and physically from the <br /> normal service to minimize the possibility of simultaneous inter- <br /> 12 ruption of supply. <br /> 13 (e) Connection Ahead of Service Disconnecting Means. Where <br /> acceptable to the authority having jursidetion, connections ahead <br /> 14 of, but not within, the main service disconnecting means shall be <br /> permitted. The emergency service shall be sufficiently separated <br /> 15 from the normal main service disconnecting means to prevent <br /> simultaneous interruption of supply through an occurance within <br /> 16 the building or groups of building served. <br /> 17 <br /> Section 4: Each of the codes and regulations adopted by reference in <br /> 18 <br /> Section 2 of this ordinance is hereby amended by the addition of the following: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 It is expressly the purpose of this Code to provide for and promote the <br /> health, safety and welfare of the general public, and not to create or <br /> 21 otherwise establish or designate any particular class or group of persons <br /> who will or should be especially protected or benefited by the terms of <br /> 22 this Code. <br /> 23 It is the specific intent of this Code to place the obligation of complying <br /> with these regulations upon the permit applicant and any person owning or <br /> 24 controlling any building or structure within its scope and no provision nor <br /> any term used in this Code is intended to impose any duty whatsoever <br /> 25 upon the City or any of its officers, employees or agents, for whom the <br /> implementation or enforcement of this Code shall be discretionary and <br /> 26 not mandatory. <br /> 27 Nothing contained in this Code is intended to be nor shall be construed to <br /> create or form the basis for any liability on the part of the City or its <br /> 28 officers, employees or agents, for any injury or damage resulting from the <br /> failure of a building to comply with the provisions of this Code, or by <br /> 29 reason or in consequence of any inspection, notice, order, certificate, <br /> permission or approval authorized or issued or done in connection with the <br /> 30 implementation or enforcement of this Code, or by reason of any action <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> 6 <br />
