Section 1204 of the 1985 Edition of the UBC is hereby amended by the 6 addition of the following language: 7 Every dwelling unit or every sleeping room or portion thereof in any story 8 which is 12 feet or more above grade as defined herein and having an occupant load of 10 or more shall have access to the number of exits as 9 required in Section 3303 for floors above the rirst floor. 10 Every dwelling unit or every sleeping room or portion thereof in any story, which is 12 feet or more above grade as defined herein and having an 11 occupant load of less than 10, shall have access to two exits. 12 E.
