• <br /> • <br /> 1 (b) Power Supply. The power supply for exit illumination shall be <br /> provided by batteries which are automatically recharged when power is <br /> 2 restored. Battery powered fixtures shall be used where the occupancy <br /> load exceeds thirty in all occupancies. <br /> 3 <br /> For high-rise buildings, see Section 1807. For smokeproof enclosures see <br /> 4 Section 3310(g)9. <br /> 5 <br /> H. Section 3314(d) of the 1985 Edition of the UBC is hereby amended by <br /> 6 <br /> deleting: <br /> 7 <br /> 8 (d) Power Supply. 1. Separate branch circuits. When separate branch <br /> circuits are required for exit illumination by Section 3313(b)1, current <br /> 9 supply to one of the lamps for exit signs shall be from a circuit having <br /> outlets only for other exit signs or exit illumination. Power to the other <br /> 10 lamp shall be from a separate circuit that may supply other outlets. <br /> 11 2. Separate sources of power. When separate sources of power are <br /> required for exit illumination by Section 3313(b)2, power to one of the <br /> 12 lamps for exit signs shall be from storage batteries or an on-site <br /> generator set and the system shall be installed in accordance with the <br /> 13 Electrical Code. For high-rise buildings, see Section 1807. <br /> 14 <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> 15 <br /> 16 (d) Power Supply. The 1985 Editions of the UBC and UBCS are hereby amended by the <br /> 20 addition of the following: <br /> 21 <br /> Authority to Abate <br /> 22 <br /> a. Any violation of the Code is hereby declared to be a nuisance. <br /> 23 <br /> b. Where a nuisance exists, the City Attorney on behalf of the City is <br /> 24 authorized to institute injunction, mandamus, or other appropriate <br /> action or proceeding to prevent the violation of this Code. <br /> 25 <br /> c. Notwithstanding paragraph (b), the City Attorney is authorized to <br /> 26 apply to any court of competent jurisdiction for and such court, <br /> upon hearing and for cause shown, may grant a temporary or <br /> 27 permanent injunction restraining any person, firm and/or corpora- <br /> tion from violating any provision of this Code and compelling <br /> 28 compliance herewith. The cost of such action shall be taxed <br /> against the violator. <br /> 29 <br /> d. A conviction of any person, firm or corporation for violating this <br /> 30 Code shall not impede the authority granted in this section to the <br /> City Attorney or City. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> 6 <br />
