• <br /> 1 disconnection at the main shall be paid, together with the reconnection <br /> 2 charge, delinquent penalty charge and all arrears before water service shall <br /> 3 be restored to the premises. <br /> 4 Section 69: Metered Service Consumption. <br /> 5 For purposes of billing, metered services shall be read to the nearest <br /> 6 one hundred cubic feet and charges rendered for water service shall be <br /> 7 computed to the nearest one cent. <br /> 8 Section 70: Water Service Shut-off for Nonpayment of Sewer. <br /> 9 The Utilities Division shall have the right to discontinue water <br /> 10 service to any premises which shall have become delinquent in the payment of <br /> 11 charges for sewer service provided to said premises by the Utilities <br /> 12 Division and shall not be obligated to resume water service until such time <br /> 13 that all sewer service charges together with arrears and penalty charges <br /> 14 have been paid for the premises. <br /> 15 Section 71: Filtration Charge--Identification as Separate Budget <br /> Category. <br /> 16 <br /> The City budget for the water utility shall identify in a separate <br /> 17 <br /> category all costs and revenues relating to the financing, construction and <br /> 18 <br /> operation of the Lake Chaplain water filtration plant which shall be <br /> 19 <br /> referred to as the "filtration charge" and identified as such in such manner <br /> 20 <br /> as the Mayor shall deem feasible. <br /> 21 <br /> Section 72: Filtration Charge--Customer Payment--Cutoff and Penalty for <br /> 22 Nonpayment. <br /> 23 The City Council may contract with large-volume master-metered <br /> 24 customers regarding sharing the capital and operational costs of water <br /> 25 filtration. For all customers receiving filtered water which are not <br /> 26 participating in the costs of water filtrations, there shall be added to the <br /> 27 current rate and charges for water service a charge to be identified as <br /> 28 "filtration charge." In the event of nonpayment of the filtration charge <br /> 29 for any reason, water service to customers not paying current metered <br /> 30 ordinance rates shall be cut off at the earliest possible time consistent <br /> 31 with the City's legal obligations and shall not be commenced until all <br /> 32 <br /> 27 <br />
