1 notice of such removal and delivery including the officer's <br /> name, in a conspicuous, secure location on or within the <br /> 2 vehicle; <br /> 3 <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 4 <br /> 5 CHAPTER VI. PROHIBITED AND REGULATED CONDUCT <br /> 6 Section 1. Animal Owner Regulation <br /> 7 A. For purposes of this section, the term "permit" shall include human <br /> conduct in relation to an owned or harbored animal which is <br /> 8 intentional, deliberate, careless, inadvertent or negligent. <br /> 9 B. It shall be a violation of this ordinance for the owner of any animal <br /> to: <br /> 10 <br /> 1. Permit any animal to become at large. <br /> 11 Exception: Domestic cats. <br /> 12 2. Permit a domestic cat to trespass upon the property of <br /> another in such a manner as to be a nuisance. <br /> 13 <br /> 3. Permit an animal on public premises, property or <br /> 14 right-of-way except in those areas specifically designated <br /> to permit animals; animals must be confined to such <br /> 15 restricted areas. Exception: Domestic cats. <br /> 16 4. Fail to keep every female dog or cat in heat confined in a <br /> 17 building or secure enclosure in such a manner that such <br /> female dog or cat cannot come into contact with another <br /> 18 animal except for planned breeding. <br /> 5. Permit any animal to cause annoyance, alarm or noise <br /> 19 disturbance at any time of the day or night, by repeated <br /> barking, whining, screeching, howling, caterwauling, <br /> 20 crowing, braying or other like sounds which extend beyond <br /> the boundary of the owner's property. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 6. Fail to provide an animal with sufficient good and <br /> wholesome food and water, proper shelter and protection <br /> 23 from the weather, veterinary care when needed to prevent <br /> suffering, and with humane care and treatment. <br /> 24 7. Leave an animal unattended for more than 24 consecutive <br /> 25 hours without adequate care. <br /> 8. Abandon an animal. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 9. Confine an animal within or on a motor vehicle at any <br /> location under such conditions as may endanger the health <br /> 28 or well being of the animal, including but not limited to <br /> extreme temperatures, lack of food, water or attention, or <br /> 29 confinement with a dangerous animal. Any animal control <br /> or peace officer is authorized to remove any animal from a <br /> 3� motor vehicle, at any location, when he/she reasonably <br /> believes it is confined in such conditions as described above. <br /> 31 Any animal so removed shall be delivered to the Animal <br /> Control Shelter after the removing officer leaves written <br /> 32 notice of such removal and delivery including the officer's <br /> name, in a conspicuous, secure location on or within the <br /> vehicle. <br /> 3 <br />
