8 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. • E/E FETT <br /> A RESOLUTION establishing Prohibited Areas related to areas of prostitution. <br /> WHEREAS,in 2007,the Council enacted Ordinances related to Violations of Court <br /> Orders; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that Stay Out of Areas of Prostitution("SOAP") <br /> orders set forth Prohibited Areas that have been established by a resolution of the City <br /> Council, at a minimum of every two years; and <br /> WHEREAS,while the areas must be updated every two years,the Ordinances allow for <br /> more frequent updates to accurately reflect what is occurring within the City; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that the establishment of the Prohibited Areas be <br /> supported by information from the Police Department in the form of one or more <br /> declarations and/or other sworn testimony; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council has reviewed the declaration of Lieutenant James Duffy, <br /> the 2016-2017 SOAP Map, and/or has heard other sworn testimony; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That the City Council adopts the attached recommendations for.
