I Measurement and Payment: LumpSum The lump sum bid shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor and equipment, complete and in place, for work necessary to protect all excavations. The installation of shoring and trench safety systems includes, but is not limited to, shoring, benching, bracing, excavating, sheeting and trench boxes as required by these Contract Documents and pertinent laws and regulations. Bidders attention is directed to the follow laws and regulations; Chapter 39.04.180 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), Part N of Chapter 296-155 of the Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act, Chapter 49.17 RCW and 29CFR 1926 of OSHA. Shoring shall be constructed with provisions made to allow Owner's Representative to enter shored trench at any time. Measurement and payment shall be based on a percentage of the work completed requiring shoring and trench safety. I 5. Dewatering I Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum The lump sum bid shall constitute full compensation for dewatering and shall include all labor, material, tools and equipment necessary to prepare the Dewatering Plan and provide a dewatering system in accordance with specification 31 23 19 and to satisfactorily complete the work as defined in the Contract Documents. The lump sum price shall include all work to remove, treat and dispose of water generated from dewatering activities. Measurement and payment shall be based on a percentage of the work completed requiring dewatering in accordance with the Dewatering Plan. 6. Water Main Pipe, 12-inch Diameter,Ductile Iron I Measurement and Payment: Linear Foot The unit price bid per linear foot shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor and equipment, complete and in place and at grades specified in the plans,for all work to furnish and install 12-inch ductile iron water main pipe and all fittings,including transition couplings and bends. Measurement and Payment for water main laid and tested shall be made along the pipe, through fittings and structures. Included in, but not limited to,the unit price for this item are all costs for: • trench excavation, I • stockpiling excavated material, • protecting and/or maintaining existing utilities, • removing and disposing of existing piping and fittings, • furnishing,placing and compacting pipe bedding and pipe zone material, • furnishing and installing pipe, bends and fittings, • furnishing,placing and compacting suitable native backfill material, • cleaning, flushing, inspecting,testing, and disinfecting water pipe, • furnishing and installing transition couplings and connecting to existing pipe, I Legion Golf Course Stormwater Detention Project Measurement and Payment I WO#UP3620 01 22 00 -4
