S <br /> 2. Costs of Testing I <br /> a. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for and shall pay for all tests as specified in <br /> Part 3 of this Section.Additional information has been provided regarding the payment <br /> responsibility for the OWNER with regards to the Project. <br /> b. With regards to all materials to be tested, where test results demonstrate that the <br /> material or workmanship does not meet the minimum requirements of the Contract <br /> Documents, additional testing shall be completed and shall be paid for by the <br /> CONTRACTOR with no reimbursement by the OWNER. <br /> 1.4 SPECIAL INSPECTIONS <br /> Special inspections and testing as required by Chapter 17 of the IBC shall be conducted by OWNER- <br /> retained Special Inspectors and Testing Agencies as required and as indicated in the Contract <br /> Documents. I <br /> A. Special Inspectors and Testing Agencies Responsibilities <br /> 1. Verify that manufacturers maintain detailed fabrication and quality control procedures and I <br /> review the completeness and adequacy of those procedures to perform the Work. <br /> 2. Promptly notify OWNER and CONTRACTOR of irregularities and deficiencies observed <br /> in the Work during performance of their services. <br /> 3. Submit certified written report of each test, inspection and similar quality control service I <br /> to OWNER, CONTRACTOR and jurisdictional authorities. Interpret test results and <br /> inspections and state in each report whether tested and inspected work complies with or <br /> deviates from the Contract Documents. <br /> 111 <br /> 4. Submit final report of special inspections at Substantial Completion, including a list of <br /> unresolved deficiencies. <br /> 5. Re-test and re-inspect corrected work. <br /> B. CONTRACTOR'S Responsibilities I <br /> 1. Provide quality requirements to all subcontractors and enforce all requirements. <br /> 2. Notify OWNER, ENGINEER, Special Inspectors and Testing Agencies at least 48 hours <br /> in advance of time when Work that requires testing or special inspecting will be performed, <br /> unless otherwise indicated in the Contract Documents. <br /> 3. Pay for any CONTRACTOR requested testing and inspecting not required by the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 4.
