E. Provide a bypass system to maintain the following range of flow values through the trunk sewer <br /> during construction: <br /> ' 1. Average dry weather flow: 50 gallons per minute(gpm) <br /> ' 2. Peak hourly flow(from upstream pump station: 500 gpm <br /> 3. Peak flow: 5,000 gpm <br /> F. Provide the following for a bypass pumping system. <br /> 1. Redundancy: Provide onsite, and installed ready for operation, a complete redundant <br /> backup pump equal to or larger than the largest pump in the system used to provide the <br /> specified minimum pumping capacity. <br /> ' 2. Backup Pump: A standby pump shall be provided and installed ready for operation in the <br /> event of a power failure.The standby backup pump shall provide the minimum capacity as <br /> listed above. <br /> ' 3. Noise Standard: The temporary pumping system shall meet all local, State and Owner's <br /> noise standards for operating in a residential environment. <br /> 1.4 DISCHARGING OF WASTEWATER TO SURFACE WATERS <br /> A. Any discharge of wastewater to surface waters is prohibited. <br /> 111 <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 TEMPORARY BYPASS PUMPING EQUIPMENT <br /> ' A. Provide all temporary bypass pumping equipment necessary to ensure continuous pumping <br /> operations. <br /> B. Temporary bypass pumps shall meet the flow and head requirements as specified above. <br /> Temporary bypass pumps shall be non-clog raw sewage pumps. <br /> C. Temporary pumping equipment shall include a pump control panel to allow the pump station <br /> ' to be automatically operated, unless manually operated by the Contractor's staff 24 hours per <br /> day. <br /> ' D. Provide all lifting mechanisms required to install, maintain and remove temporary pumping <br /> equipment. <br /> ' E. Provide autodialer to automatically notify Contractor and Owner upon all alarms. Coordinate <br /> alarm programming with Owner.Provide high level and overflow level floats for the temporary <br /> pumping system: <br /> 1.
