I <br /> D. All materials shall be new, free from defects, of current manufacture, of quality specified or <br /> shown. Each type of material shall be of the same manufacturer throughout the work. <br /> 1.6 CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: <br /> A. The electrical layouts are generally diagrammatic. The location of equipment is approximate <br /> unless dimensioned. Exact locations and routing of conduits shall be governed by <br /> structural conditions and physical interference's and by locations of electrical terminations <br /> on equipment. I <br /> 1.7 REFERENCE DOCUMENTS: <br /> A. The Contractor shall refer to the drawings, project data and shop drawings of other trades for <br /> additional details,which affect the proper installation of the work. Diagrams and symbols <br /> showing electrical connections are diagrammatic only, and so do not necessarily show the <br /> exact physical arrangement of the equipment. I <br /> 1.8 SITE FAMILIARIZATION: <br /> A. Before submitting a bid, the Electrical Contractor shall familiarize himself with all features of <br /> the site, which may affect the execution of his work. The Contractor shall take all field <br /> measurements necessary for his work and shall assume full responsibility for their <br /> accuracy. The Contractor shall take full responsibility for locating and avoiding all <br /> substructures. Any damage to existing equipment shall be repaired or replaced by the <br /> Contractor at the contractors expense <br /> 1.9 ELECTRICAL SUBMITTALS: <br /> A. Electrical project data shall be submitted in accordance with Section 01330 and the following: I <br /> B. Electrical submittals shall be submitted bound in a three (hole or—ring) binder, labeled with <br /> the project name and Contractor's name and an index sheet showing each product being <br /> submitted. Provide with section tabs per the electrical specifications by section and <br /> paragraph or equipment name e.g.provide a minimum of one tab section for each piece of <br /> equipment in all of the PART 2 PRODUCT Sections 2.01 - 2.**. Label each equipment <br /> submittal sheet with equipment name and number. Indicate location where each item of <br /> equipment submitted will be used on the job. Use equipment numbers when available. <br /> C. Submittals shall include the manufacturer's name, address, trade name, catalog model or <br /> number, nameplate data, size, layout dimensions, capacity, project specification and <br /> paragraph reference. Include other information necessary to establish contract compliance <br /> of each item proposed to furnish. I <br /> D. The package of submittals shall be largely complete when first submitted. Long lead items <br /> may be submitted separately. Each item shall be clearly marked and provided with <br /> adequate sales and technical information to clearly show conformance with all aspects of <br /> the specification. Packages not provided as described above or largely incomplete shall be <br /> returned to the Contractor, without comment. <br /> E. Control panels and control systems submittals may be provided separately, but must be <br /> followed in a timely manner as to allow coordinated review.
