Protection of Persons and Property: Meet all federal, state and local safety requirements for <br /> the protection of laborers, other persons, and property in the vicinity of the work and <br /> requirements of the General Provisions. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MATERIALS <br /> A. Existing Materials: All materials, equipment, miscellaneous items and debris involved, <br /> occurring or resulting from demolition, clearing and grubbing work shall become the <br /> property of the Contractor at the place of origin, except as otherwise indicated in the <br /> Drawings or specifications. <br /> B. Wound Paint: Emulsified asphalt formulated for use on damaged plant tissues. <br /> PART 3 EXECUTION I <br /> 3.1 GENERAL <br /> A. Clear, grub, and strip areas needed for waste disposal, borrow, or Site improvements within I <br /> limits shown in approved Clearing,Grubbing and Stripping Plan. <br /> B. Remain within the property lines at all times. <br /> C. Do not injure or deface vegetation or structures that are not designated forremoval. I <br /> 3.2 EXAMINATION <br /> A. Verify existing plant life designated to remain is tagged or identified. <br /> B. Identify waste and salvage areas for placing removed materials. I <br /> 3.3 PREPARATION <br /> A. Carefully coordinate the work of this Section with all other work andconstruction. I <br /> B. Call Local Utility Line Information service at 1-800-424-5555,not less than three working <br /> days before performing Work. <br /> C. Request underground utilities to be located and marked within and surrounding construction <br /> areas. <br /> 1. Disconnect or arrange for disconnection of utilities(if any)affected by required work. <br /> 2.
