• • 1 For each successive hour or fraction therof, at the rate of $12.50 per hour. 2 If demanded by the passenger, the driver in charge of a for-hire 3 vehicle shall deliver to the person paying for the hiring of same at the time of such payment a receipt therefor in legible type of writing 4 containing the name of the owner, the City license number or the driver's City license number, or the taximeter number, and any items for which a 5 charge is made, the total amount paid, and the date of payment. 6 The rates provided for in this section may be changed by ordinance of the City Council. 7 8 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 9 B. LIMOUSINE. 10 As a requirement of licensing, a schedule of hourly rates to be 11 charged by applicant's limousine service shall be established by the 12 applicant and filed with the City Clerk. If at any time during the license period the rates change, then prior to the effective date of any such change a revised rate schedule shall be filed with the City Clerk. 13 14 C. With the exception of subsection B which authorizes limousine 18 licensees to establish their own rates, the other rates provided for in this section may be changed by ordinance of the City Council. 19 20 Section 3: That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 910-82 (EMC 5.68.210) reads as 21 follows: 22 POSTING OF SCHEDULE OF FARES. 23 A. INTERIOR OF FOR-HIRE VEHICLE. The owner of every for-hire vehicle shall cause to be posted and maintained in a conspicuous 24 location in the passenger's compartment of said vehicle a card of form, size and color approved by the Everett Director of Weights and Measures, 25 on which shall be shown a schedule of rates of fare charged by said owner, which rates shall not be in excess of amounts fixed by this title. 26 B. EXTERIOR OF FOR-HIRE VEHICLE. A permanently 27 affixed sign indicating the rates as set forth in Section 19 of this ordinance shall be posted on both sides of the vehicle and be readable 28 from the side of the vehicle. The sign shall be located on the upper half of the body, below the window line affixed to the rear door; or when 29 unavailable, placed immediately adjacent to the rear door. The lettering shall be no smaller then 3/4" except for 1/2" minimum for "cents" rates, 30 and shall be on a contrasting background. 31 The City of Everett Director of Weights and Measures shall have available examples of such posting requirements indicating the allowable 32 format and content of the signs and cards as required by this section. -2-
