C. Additional properties for park development may be obtained <br /> through dedication during the site plan review process or <br /> obtained by direct purchase. <br /> 7. LANDSCAPING <br /> A. All developments adjacent to the City right-of-way on 16th & 19th <br /> Avenues and 112th Street S.E. shall improve the planting strip <br /> within the right-of-way or adjacent to the right-of-way by <br /> installing trees (Red Maple) on 40 foot centers with either St. <br /> John's Wort or Periwinkle ground cover, or other treatment found <br /> acceptable to the City, to a minimum width of five feet. <br /> B. A landscaping strip, consisting of a mix of evergreen and <br /> deciduous trees, shrubs, and groundcovers, with a minimum width <br /> of ten feet, shall be provided as a visual buffer between <br /> rights-of-way or private access roads and building or parking <br /> areas. Where the City determines that excess right-of-way <br /> exists, the Owner may provide all or a portion of said <br /> landscaping on City right-of-way. <br /> C. Employee and public parking and loading dock areas shall be <br /> developed within an overall landscape theme. Berms and other <br /> fences shall also be utilized to minimize the visual impact of <br /> these areas. <br /> 8. LIGHTING <br /> A. During the site plan review process, sufficient perimeter <br /> landscaping adjacent to parking lots shall be provided to shield <br /> cars on adjacent public streets from headlight glare caused by <br /> cars moving inside the parking lot.
