Where the combined total water closet compartments and urinals provided in a toilet room <br /> is six or more, at least one of the compartments should be ambulatory accessible, in <br /> addition to the wheelchair accessible compartment. The current IBC referenced standard for accessible design is the 2009 "Accessible and <br /> Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI A117.1). Federal ADA regulations and standards may <br /> be more restrictive. These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or <br /> additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
