<br /> Bid Item 20 - Fire Hydrant Assembly
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit price per each shall be full compensation for all work to furnish and install fire
<br /> hydrant assemblies in accordance with COE Standard Drawing No. 507 including, yet not
<br /> limited to, all costs for clearing and grubbing; excavation, removal, haul and disposal of
<br /> excavated materials; furnishing, installing, testing, and disinfecting pipe, fire hydrant valves
<br /> and fittings, and appurtenances; shoring; dewatering; furnishing, installing and compacting
<br /> bedding and backfill materials; plastic film wrap; and thermoplastic powder coating required
<br /> for the complete installation of the hydrant assembly as specified.
<br /> Work and materials to be included with this bid item removal or salvage, handling and
<br /> disposal of the existing hydrant and disposal of or abandoning in place pipe, fittings, and
<br /> valve.
<br /> Bid Item 21 - Air Vacuum Valve Assembly, 1-inch
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price for Air Vacuum Valve Assembly, 1-Inch shall constitute full
<br /> compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for providing
<br /> assembly in accordance with COE Std Drawing No. 512 or as modified and supplemented
<br /> herein, in the location shown on the Plans, including but not limited to, all gaskets, bolts,
<br /> pipe, nipples, adapters, couplings, fittings, restraint systems, vertical bends, all other
<br /> necessary appurtenances, temporary thrust blocking, trench excavation, sheeting and
<br /> shoring and dewatering, backfill and compaction of native material, maintenance,
<br /> restoration and relocation, if required, of culverts, storm drainage pipe, other utilities and
<br /> structures, pressure and purity testing, including temporary blow-offs necessary for testing,
<br /> extra depth excavation, backfill and compaction required to clear buried utilities or other
<br /> obstructions and cutting, and removal and disposal of existing pipe.
<br /> Bid Item 22 - Assist COE in Connecting to Existing Water Main
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price to Assist COE in Connecting to Existing Water Main shall constitute
<br /> full compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for connection to
<br /> existing system, in accordance with 7-09.3(19)A including, yet not limited to; all costs for
<br /> traffic control, excavation, shoring, dewatering, haul and disposal of excavated materials,
<br /> furnishing, installing and compacting bedding and backfill materials; labor and equipment
<br /> required for the complete installation of the connection as specified.
<br /> Unit contract price shall include all coordination efforts with the City and assistance as City
<br /> forces make the actual connection. Connection of a water service line to the water main
<br /> and connection of new water service line to existing water service line will not be
<br /> considered a connection to the existing system.
