<br /> This letter is in response to the updated review comments you issued 7/12/17 for our Permit Submittal of
<br /> the Dr. Eggenberger's T.I. at 3125 Colby Ave Everett, WA 98201. Required supplementary information
<br /> has been included with this submittal and all revisions pertaining to building permit comments have been
<br /> clouded on the relevant drawings sheets.
<br /> Corrections
<br /> 1) General
<br /> The method of compliance with the IEBC should be identified in the code analysis.
<br /> Please confirm on the drawings if this is a Level II alteration, per IEBC section 504.
<br /> a. It was not clear from sheet A3.00 whether all or a portion of the ceiling is being
<br /> removed, per note DC-04,and the RCP demo plan was not shown. Please clarify
<br /> on the drawings.
<br /> b. The cost for providing the accessible route to the primary function area, if not
<br /> already present,are not required to exceed 20% of the cost of the alterations to
<br /> the primary function area per IEBC section 410.5 and 410.7, based on Level II
<br /> or Level III alterations. This would include site parking, per IEBC section 705.1
<br /> unless it is technically infeasible to comply with Chapter 11 of the IBC.
<br /> RESPONSE:
<br /> Per your request, we confirm that this is a Level II alteration. This has been noted and clouded
<br /> on the A1.00 sheet under General Notes.
<br /> a. The entire ceiling has already been removed. The scope for the RCP is to remove the
<br /> remaining non-structural, ceiling soffit supports and abandoned HVAC ductwork
<br /> where specified. Please reference the Demolition RCP sheet A3.01 for specific scope
<br /> of work.
<br /> b. Please see the Site plan/ sheet A2.00 for accessible route information.
<br /> 2) Accessibility
<br /> a. Please submit a site plan to indicate van accessible parking spaces, standard
<br /> accessible parking spaces, and access aisles based on the number of stalls
<br /> provided, per IEBC sections 410.6, 410.7, 504.2, 705.1, 806.1 and IBC section
<br /> 1104.1.
<br /> a. The number of accessible stalls should be identified on the
<br /> drawings to conform with IBC table 1106.1, based on the number
