Bid Item 38 - Cement Concrete Pavement Base Type III (H.E.S.) for Trench Patch Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard. Measurement for Cement Concrete Pavement Base Type III (H.E.S.) shall be per square yard as delineated by the Contractor and approved by the Inspector. The unit price per square yard for Cement Concrete Pavement Base, Type III (H.E.S), regardless of thickness, shall be full compensation for all materials, tools, labor and equipment necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Plans, Section 5 of the Standard Specifications and 5-06.3(2) and 5-06.3(3) of these Special Provisions, including matching existing surface pattern(s). Placement of through joints and dummy joints to match existing or as directed by the Engineer, and placement of approved curing compound is to be included in this bid item with no direct compensation made. The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work necessary to furnish, machine-place, compact, and perform density tests on multiple lifts of HMA— CL 1/2" PG 64-22 pavement in trench patches Crushed surfacing will be measured and paid separately.
