Take-out service would <br /> need to stay contained within the kitchen and service areas, not including the <br /> passageway to the toilet rooms. <br /> 4. The drawings should indicate specific signage at the main entrance door and the rear <br /> exit door to indicate that these doors will be open during business hours, per IBC <br /> section 1010.1.9.3, 2.2. <br /> Construction <br /> 1. Minimum aisle dimensions should be shown for the proposed new work. Within the <br /> customer area, the minimum aisle dimension is 36 inches. This should be maintained <br /> within the kitchen and serving area, but at minimum should be no less than 24 inches, <br /> per IBC table 1020.2. <br /> 2. Please provide details of the new ceiling in the prep area. The ceiling details should be <br /> shown on the drawings, and in section should show a 2 inch angle at the wall, per the <br /> Northwest Ceiling Bureau details on document 401. <br /> 3. Please indicate wall and ceiling sections for the new walls, and target those sections to <br /> the plans. This information should show if the walls are floor to underside of structure, <br /> or a different configuration. <br /> 4. The kitchen hood should have stainless steel material shown in elevation and on the <br /> reflected ceiling plan extending 18 inches beyond the hood, per IMC section 507.2.6. <br /> 5. Please show the locations and cfm of exhaust provided at the toilet room(s) on the plans <br /> submitted for building permit. <br /> 6. Please identify the outdoor element on the plan attached to the building near the toilet <br /> rooms. <br /> 7. Please identify the equipment and dimensioned locations from the building in the area <br /> marked as A2 outside of the building. <br /> Accessibility <br /> 1. A site plan is required to show the accessible parking, to include width dimensions, <br /> access aisles for accessible parking, curb cuts, accessible parking signage, and <br /> accessible routes to the buildings served. <br /> a. For your reference, a handout referencing the building code standards ICC/ANSI <br /> A117.1-2009 for several items listed above is attached. <br /> 2. The new interior sales and service counter and bus station should be shown in section <br /> and elevation to meet accessibility requirements of ICC-A117.1-2009 Chapters 9 for <br /> service counters and section 309 for reach ranges. <br /> a. If the take-out window is going to remain (no dine-in customers allowed in this <br /> configuration) will the outdoor service shelf be replaced in the as-is location or <br /> modified for accessible heights and reach? There already is take-out service <br /> shown inside the tenant improvement. <br /> 3. Dining facilities should be shown to be on an accessible route where 5% but not less <br /> than one of the dining surfaces is designed for accessible use, per IBC section <br /> 1108.2.9.1. <br /> 4. A second fully accessible toilet room is required for more than 30 occupants in the space <br /> (see comment 1-Occupancy in this letter).
