North Sound Behavioral Health Treatment Facility <br /> Frequently Asked Questions <br /> Q. 1. Will people be admitted and discharged 24/7? <br /> A. No, admissions will be scheduled during daytime hours, by appointment <br /> only. Discharges may occur after standard work hours. <br /> Q. 2. Will people be discharged into the neighborhood surrounding Denney? <br /> A. No, people leaving inpatient treatment will be picked up by family or friends <br /> or driven by the agency staff to the Everett Train Station off of Hewitt Avenue. <br /> Q. 3. Will people drive themselves to the treatment program? <br /> A. No, friends, family or community case managers will drop-off people at their <br /> designated treatment admission time. Patients will not drive their personal <br /> vehicles to the treatment site. <br /> Q. 4. How long will someone be in the treatment program? <br /> A. Length of treatment is dependent on a patient's individual needs but typical <br /> length of stay is approximately (30) days. <br /> Q. 5. What kind of treatment will people be receiving? <br /> A. Behavioral health inpatient treatment; persons with addictions to drugs <br /> and/or alcohol, some of whom may also have mental health needs. It is also <br /> possible that one program may be designated for mental health inpatient <br /> treatment. <br /> Q. 6. How many people will be receiving treatment at any given time? <br /> A. Two 16-bed programs are being planned for the vacant space within Denney <br /> detention space. The maximum in treatment at any given time is 32 patients. <br /> Q. 7. Why is there vacant space within the juvenile detention area? <br /> A. Juvenile sentencing guidelines have changed since the detention center was <br /> built which has resulted in less youth being detained. This trend is <br /> encouraging as research shows better long-term outcomes for juvenile <br /> offenders if they participate in community rehabilitation programs versus <br /> being confined in detention centers. <br />
