Q. 16. Will both adolescents and adults be able to receive treatment at this site?
A. These treatment services will be for adults. Adolescents are able to access
inpatient treatment through other state covered programs.
Q. 17. Will Denney Juvenile Justice Center continue to serve adolescents?
A. Yes, Juvenile Court Probation and detention services will continue at this
site.
Q. 18. If I have a relative or friend who needs treatment can they go to this program?
A. This program will be open to individuals who are Medicaid eligible, i.e. health
insurance through Apple Health (Molina, Community Health Plan of
Washington, United Healthcare, Amerigroup and Coordinated Care
Corporation). To start the process folks contact local chemical dependency
treatment agencies to schedule a chemical dependency assessment
(Evergreen Recovery Centers, Catholic Community Services, Therapeutic
Health Services & SeaMar). People are also encouraged to call 211
(operated by Volunteers of America) for assistance in scheduling an
assessment.
Q. 19. Will new programs generate more traffic?
A. A traffic study has been completed which shows that there will be less traffic
than was anticipated when Denney Juvenile Justice Center first opened.
Q. 20.What additional taxes could be anticipated?
A. There will be no new taxes collected for this treatment program. The
renovation costs will be covered through state funds and the cost to provide
the treatment is reimbursed through the Federal Medicaid program.
Q. 21.After treatment and for those who don't complete the program, will they be
discharged into the Delta community or elsewhere?
A. No, when people complete their treatment program or decide not to finish
the treatment program, they will be picked up by family or friends. If family
or friends are not available, treatment staff will drive the person to the Everett
Train Station off of Hewitt Avenue where they can get a bus or train. (Also
please see related Questions #2 and #3)
