• • 1 Every applicant shall prior to the issuance of any for-hire vehicle business license, provide the City Clerk with a certificate of insurance 2 naming the City as an additional named insured on the policy of insurance as required herein. 3 Every such policy of insurance shall continue to the full amount 4 thereof notwithstanding any recovery thereon and shall provide that the liability of the insurer shall not be affected by the insolvency or 5 bankruptcy of the insured. Each insurance policy required hereunder shall extend for the period covered by the license applied for and the insurer 6 shall be obliged to give not less than thirty days written notice to the City Clerk in the event of any change or cancellation. 7 8 Section 2: Section 15 of Ordinance No. 779-81 which reads as follows: 9 Section 15: SUSPENSION AND REVOCATION OF FOR-HIRE 10 VEHICLE DRIVER'S LICENSE. Any driver's license issued pursuant to the provisions of this title shall be automatically suspended for a period of 11 one year on the first conviction of the holder thereof of any of the following misdemeanors: driving while under the influence of intoxicating 12 liquor or reckless driving; the violation of any law involving the manufacture, sale or transportation of intoxicating liquors; or the 13 violation of any law involving prostitution, indecent exposure or any lewd or immoral acts. On the second conviction of one or more of these 14 offenses, such license shall be automatically revoked for a period of ten years. 15 Any driver's license issued pursuant to the provisions of this 16 chapter shall be automatically revoked for a period of ten years on the conviction of any felony or the violation of any law involving the sale, 17 use, distribution, manufacture or transportation of narcotics. 18 Prior to suspension or revocation of said license, the holder shall be given notice of the proposed action to be taken and shall be allowed a 19 hearing before the City Council to determine the appropriateness of the action taken if said holder appeals in writing to the City Clerk within ten 20 (10) working days of receipt of notice of suspension or revocation. If no appeal is taken, the suspension or revocation shall be final. 21 22 is hereby amended to read as follows: 23 Section 15: SUSPENSION AND REVOCATION OF FOR-HIRE 24 VEHICLE DRIVER'S LICENSE.
