4 • 1 In addition to the grounds set forth in this section, the City Clerk shall have the right to suspend or revoke any for-hire vehicle driver's 2 license on the grounds set forth in Ordinance No. 295-74, Chapter 1, Section 8, 1974, as it currently reads or is hereinafter amended. 3 Upon suspension or revocation of any for-hire vehicle driver's 4 license by the City Clerk, the licensee shall have a right to appeal the suspension or revocation of said license to City Council in the manner set 5 forth on Ordinance No. 295-74, Chapter 1, Section 8, 1974, as it currently reads or is hereinafter amended. 6 7 Section 3: Section 17 of Ordinance No. 779-81 which reads as follows: 8 Section 17: INSPECTION. Each vehicle for hire shall be 9 equipped and maintained at all times by the owner or operator for safety, cleanliness and lawful operation and in accordance wih the laws of the 10 City and the State and shall be furnished with such equipment as the Chief of Police shall deem necessary for such safe operation. All vehicles 11 for hire, prior to being licensed under the provisions of this chapter shall be inspected and approved by the Chief of Police or his designee. The 12 Chief of Police or his designee shall have authority to make routine inspections from time to time as he deems necessary and appropriate. 13 The Chief of Police or his designee shall have authority to promulgate inspection regulations which shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk. 14 The items to be inspected shall be listed on a form to be provided by the Chief of Police or his designee. Each item on said list shall be in 15 satisfactory condition before any license shall issue or be renewed under the provisions of this chapter. 16 17 is hereby amended to read as follows: 18 Section 17: INSPECTION.
