Immediate notification of all requests for emergency <br /> 3 medical aid received by the ambulance company to the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> 4 <br /> 3. The ambulance company shall not respond unless notified <br /> 5 that additional units are required. <br /> 6 <br /> Section 2: Section 13 of Ordinance No. 570-78 which reads as follows: <br /> 7 <br /> Section 13: Emergency Medical Response. <br /> 8 <br /> The Fire Department of the City of Everett should respond to requests for <br /> 9 medical aid within the City, and provide such service to persons within <br /> the City as required; provided, however, requests for ambulance service <br /> 10 shall be relayed to the ambulance company, the Fire Department shall not <br /> respond unless further information indicates need of other emergency <br /> 11 service. <br /> 12 A. To accomplish the intent of this section, the Mayor shall annually <br /> prepare a budget for emergency medical aid response. <br /> 13 <br /> B. The Mayor shall develop a plan that may include recommendation <br /> 14 of the Emergency Services Advisory Committee, to provide for an <br /> • <br /> emergency medical aid response program by: <br /> 15 <br /> 1. Planning and budgeting for two Emergency Aid Cars (EAC) <br /> 16 to be strategically located within the City and to be <br /> equipped as required by this ordinance. <br /> 17 2. Planning and budgeting so that each in-service pumper <br /> 18 within the City is equipped as an emergency aid vehicle, in <br /> addition to necessary fire suppression equipment, as <br /> 19 required by this ordinance and as recommended by the <br /> Emergency Services Advisory Committee. <br /> 20 3. Developing a response pattern within the City which maxi- <br /> 21 mizes the use of the two Emergency Aid Cars and minimizes <br /> initial response time in a coordinated manner using the EAC <br /> 22 vehicles and the fire pumpers. <br /> 23 4. The EAC vehicles and the fire pumpers shall be utilized to <br /> provide emergency medical care at the scene of injury or <br /> 24 illness, and may provide transportation of the sick and <br /> injured as outlined in Section 13(B)(5). <br /> 25 5. The EAC may transport sick and injured when: <br /> 26 a.
