1 A. TAXICAB. To be determined by the taximeter: <br /> 2 Upon activation of the taximeter, $1..50 <br /> 3 For each succeeding one-fifth mile or fraction thereof, $.25. <br /> 4 For each additional person for the whole journey, $.50. <br /> 5 For each one minute of waiting time or fraction thereof, $.25. <br /> 6 <br /> Waiting time shall include the time when the taxicab is not in motion, beginning <br /> 7 <br /> with the arrival at the place to which it has been called, or the time consumed while <br /> 8 <br /> standing at the direction of the passenger, but no charge shall be made for time lost for <br /> 9 <br /> inefficiency of the taxicab or its operator or time consumed by premature response to a <br /> 10 <br /> call. The above charges shall be for one person. For each additional passenger carried, <br /> 11 <br /> a charge of (50) fifty cents for the entire trip may be made. The charges herein set <br /> 12 <br /> forth shall be binding upon the owners and drivers of such taxicabs and any collection of <br /> 13 <br /> fares in excess of said rates shall be punished as provided in this chapter. <br /> 14 <br /> B. LIMOUSINE. <br /> 15 <br /> For the first two hours of driving time or fraction thereof, $25. <br /> 16 <br /> For each successive hour or fraction thereof, at the rate of $12.50 per <br /> 17 hour. <br /> 18 If demanded by the passenger, the driver in charge of a for-hire vehicle shall <br /> 19 deliver to the person paying for the hiring of same at the time of such payment a <br /> 20 receipt therefor in legible type of writing containing the name of the owner, the City <br /> 21 license number or the driver's City license number, or the taximeter number, and any <br /> 22 items for which a charge is made, the total amount paid, and the date of payment. <br /> 23 The rates provided for in this section may be changed by ordinance of the City <br /> 24 Council. <br /> 25 Section 20: POSTING OF SCHEDULE OF FARES. The owner of every <br /> 26 for-hire vehicle shall cause to be posted and maintained in a conspicuous location in the <br /> 27 passenger's compartment of said vehicle a card of form, size and color approved by the <br /> 28 City Clerk, on which shall be shown a schedule of rates of fare charged by said owner, <br /> 29 which rates shall not be in excess of amounts fixed by this title. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -10- <br />
