• <br /> 1 The City Clerk, upon approval by the Chief of Police, shall issue a temporary <br /> 2 permit for such period of time not to exceed thirty days as the Chief of Police shall <br /> 3 designate, and such temporary permit shall have stamped thereon the date of <br /> 4 termination. <br /> 5 Section 14: FORM OF FOR-HIRE VEHICLE DRIVER'S LICENSE. The <br /> 6 for-hire vehicle driver's license shall be in the form as determined by the City Clerk. <br /> 7 Such license shall show the date of expiration thereof and shall be displayed in a <br /> 8 conspicuous place inside each for-hire vehicle in such loction that the same is clearly <br /> 9 visible from the passenger compartment at all times that the licensee is operating, <br /> 10 driving or using said vehicle. <br /> 11 All for-hire vehicle driver's licenses shall expire on December 31st of the year in <br /> 12 which the license is issued and, unless revoked or under suspension at the date of <br /> 13 expiration, may be renewed annually thereafter by the City. <br /> 14 Section 15: SUSPENSION AND REVOCATION OF FOR-HIRE VEHICLE <br /> 15 DRIVER'S LICENSE. Any driver's license issued pursuant to the provisions of this <br /> 16 title shall be automatically suspended for a period of one year on the first conviction of <br /> 17 the holder thereof of any of the following misdemeanors: driving while under the <br /> 18 influence of intoxicating liquor or reckless driving; the violation of any law involving <br /> 19 the manufacture, sale or transportation of intoxicating liquors; or the violation of any <br /> 20 law involving prostitution, indecent exposure or any lewd or immoral acts. On the <br /> 21 second conviction of one or more of these offenses, such license shall be automatically <br /> 22 revoked for a period of ten years. <br /> 23 Any driver's license issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall be <br /> 24 automatically revoked for a period of ten years on the conviction of any felony or the <br /> 25 violation of any law involving the sale, use, distribution, manufacture or transportation <br /> 26 of narcotics. <br /> 27 Prior to suspension or revocation of said license, the holder shall be given notice <br /> 28 of the proposed action to be taken and shall be allowed a hearing before the City <br /> 29 Council to determine the appropriateness of the action taken if said holder appeals in <br /> 30 writing to the City Clerk within ten (10) working days of receipt of notice of suspension <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -7- <br />
