Recommendations for site preparation and grading activities,including stripping depths,subgrade preparation <br /> below pavement section,reuse of site soil,and criteria for selection,placement,and compaction of structural fill. <br /> Included will be a discussion of the effects of weather and/or construction equipment on subgrade soil. <br /> g. Discussion of excavation considerations including recommendations for allowable excavation slope <br /> inclinations for temporary and permanent slopes,dewatering,shoring and classification of soi types per OSHA <br /> regulations. <br /> h. Recommendations for geotechnical monitoring,materials testing,and consultation during construction. <br /> i. Based on the encountered subsurface soil conditions,Geotest will provide a"typical"pavement section that <br /> includes standard,heavy vehicle,and concrete pavement options. <br /> j. Provide a retaining wall design if required. <br /> The scope of work includes Geotest providing opinions on the feasibility of on-site infiltration in general accordance <br /> with the governing municipality. The infiltration of stormwater is typicall an iterative process and it should be <br /> expected that additional information and/or evaluation of stormwater concepts may be required prior to the final <br /> submittal of plans and specifications for this project. <br /> Cost Break-down <br /> The terms for Geotest services shall be provided on a time-and-materials basis in accordance with Exhibit B. For the <br /> scope of work described above a break-down for each task is listed as follows: <br /> GEOTECHNICAL REPORT <br /> Public Utility Locate,Project Coordination $ 400 <br /> Field Work $1,100 <br /> Drill Rig(90 lineal feet max.) $3,600 <br /> Laboratory Testing $ 600 <br /> Reporting and Wall Design $4,200 <br /> Not to Exceed Total $9,900 <br /> PILOT INFILTRATION TEST(PIT) <br /> Field Work $1,200 <br /> Rental Equipment $ 400 <br /> Excavator/Operator and Water Truck* $3,000 <br /> Not to Exceed Total $4,600 <br /> * If a fire hydrant is available,then please deduct$1,000 from the PIT estimate. <br /> CONTINGENCY FEE(IF REQUIRED) <br /> The fee is based on being able to acquire sufficient information with the proposed field investigation program. In the <br /> event that unforseen conditions ars encountered and additional information is required to assess the site,the client <br /> will be informed before proceeding. <br /> The fee covers the services,as previously outlined,through the submittal of the final report. It does not cover <br /> additional exploration or consultation after submittal of the final report. Environmental testing and sampling is not <br /> included in this report.
