The Mayor and/or his/her designee together with each Department Head <br /> 2 employing Day Laborers, shall establish the rate of pay; therefore, within <br /> 3 the minimum and maximum rate based on the qualifications, experience <br /> and background of each Day Laborer employee. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 D. In the case of Library Day Laborer employees, the Library Board together <br /> 6 with the Library Director shall establish the rate of pay; therefore, within <br /> the minimum of $2.90 per hour and a maximum rate of $5.00 per hour <br /> 7 based on the qualifications, experience and background of each Day <br /> 8 Laborer employee. <br /> 9 Section 5: <br /> 10 <br /> 11 A. There is hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance, a longevity <br /> schedule for full-time employees covered by the AFSCME labor contract <br /> 12 under a three-step classification based on years of service as follows: <br /> 13 <br /> After completion of 4 years, $25.00 per month. <br /> 14 <br /> After completion of 8 years, $50.00 per month. <br /> 15 After completion of 12 years, $75.00 per month. <br /> 16 After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month. <br /> 17 <br /> B. There is hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance, a longevity <br /> 18 schedule for full-time employees covered by the AFSCME labor contract <br /> 19 under a five-step classification based on years of service as follows: <br /> 20 <br /> After completion of 5 years, $25.00 per month. <br /> 21 After completion of 8 years, $50.00 per month. <br /> 22 After completion of 12 years, $75.00 per month. <br /> After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Section 6: <br /> 25 <br /> Longevity pay shall not be paid to part-time employees, day laborers, or employees in <br /> 26 <br /> the pay range prefaced by "P", "E", or "H" in Section 2 above. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Section 7: <br /> 29 <br /> A.
