• <br /> • <br /> 1 After completion of 4 years of service, base pay plus 2% per month. <br /> 2 After completion of 8 years of service, base pay plus 3.5% per month. <br /> 3 After completion of 12 years of service, base pay plus 5.5% per month. <br /> After completion of 16 years of service, base pay plus 7% per month. <br /> 4 After completion of 20 years of service, base pay plus 9% per month. <br /> 5 <br /> Section 8: <br /> 6 <br /> 7 There is hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance, longevity and educational <br /> incentive plans for commissioned police officers. Such officers, upon becoming <br /> 8 <br /> eligible, may choose to participate in either plan; however, in no case shall any <br /> 9 officer be eligible to participate concurrently in both plans. <br /> 10 <br /> The following shall be the longevity schedule based upon years of service and the <br /> 11 <br /> amount of which shall be added to and considered a part of base pay: <br /> 12 <br /> 13 After completion of 4 years, $25.00 per month. <br /> After completion of 8 years, $50.00 per month. <br /> 14 <br /> After completion of 12 years, $75.00 per month. <br /> 15 After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month. <br /> 16 <br /> The following shall be the educational incentive plan schedule based upon receipt of <br /> 17 <br /> approved college credits. There shall be a joint Everett Police Officers Association <br /> 18 and City Administration Committee established which shall determine the <br /> 19 appropriateness of areas of study for which the incentive pay may be granted. Such <br /> pay may not be received during the initial nine month probation period. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 After completion of 45 credits, $25.00 per month. <br /> 22 After completion of 90 credits, $50.00 per month. <br /> After completion of 135 credits, $75.00 per month. <br /> 23 <br /> After receiving a B.S. or B.A. degree, $100.00 per month. <br /> 24 <br /> Section 9: <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Bus Operators, who are requested by their supervisors to act as Bus Operator <br /> 27 Trainers, shall be paid $1.50 per hour premium pay in addition to their regular hourly <br /> rate. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Section 10: <br /> 30 <br /> Employees receiving promotions will advance to the step in the higher classification <br /> 31 pay range which is higher than the step they were at in the range of the lower <br /> 32 <br />
