6. Together with the contractor,providing a safe workplace during <br /> the Work in compliance with any federal, state, or local laws, <br /> ordinances, or regulations that are applicable. This provision shall <br /> include: <br /> • Communicating safety guidelines and requirements to City <br /> representatives during the performance of Work. <br /> • Supervising contractors to reduce dust and noise as much as <br /> possible during Work on the Property. Procedures to reduce <br /> dust and noise shall be as specified in the contract documents. <br /> • Providing visual and non-visual safety warnings as required <br /> providing safe passage(e.g. Caution tape, cones, signs, etc.) <br /> around work areas. <br /> • Providing fence barriers for Work areas to restrict access by the <br /> public. <br /> • Provide safe passage and signage to all buildings utilized in <br /> daily operations by city employees. <br /> 7. Maintaining, as much as practicable,utility service to buildings <br /> during the Work. Utility lines damaged as a result of Work <br /> activities shall be repaired and service restored as soon as possible. <br /> 8. Providing the City a minimum of one (1) day notice if the Work <br /> will require restrictions to available parking near the Property. <br /> Notification of restrictions to public right-of-way parking (i.e. <br /> street parking, etc.)will take the form of No Parking signs. Posting <br /> of signs shall be no less than 48 hours' notice prior to restrictions <br /> going into effect. <br /> 9. Restoring the grades,vegetation, and landscape for the Property as <br /> defined in the contract documents. <br /> Where possible, existing features will be used by Ecology's <br /> Contractor as elevation reference points for restoring Property <br /> topography. In general,the Work may result in a smoother grade <br /> in the park than pre-existing conditions. Restored grades will be as <br /> close to the pre-Work conditions as possible using appropriate <br /> survey control methods and as outlined in the project <br /> specifications.. Ecology will adjust grades as requested by the City <br /> to alleviate drainage issues in areas identified and agreed upon. <br /> These areas are indicated in the design documents. City staff will <br /> be on site during this work to inspect and approve all work <br /> activities. <br /> Restoration will be performed to return the Property to a condition <br /> as close as practicable to its original condition and appearance, <br /> unless otherwise indicated.
