CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS The unit price per linear foot bid for the type and size of combined sewer pipe shall be full compensation for all labor, material, incidentals, tools and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the work as defined in these Contract Documents. The unit price per linear foot of combined sewer pipe shall be full compensation for furnishing, hauling, and assembling in place the completed installation, including all wyes, tees, special fittings, joint materials and adjustment of inverts to manholes for the completion of the installation to the required lines and grades. The unit price of combined sewer pipe shall also include, but not be limited to; all costs for trench excavation; hauling and disposing of surplus material; dewatering; sewer flow bypassing; furnishing, stockpiling, hauling and placing and compacting suitable native backfill; cleaning and flushing pipes and existing structures; testing and inspecting pipe; pipe separation pads, connecting pipe to and rechanneling of existing structures; reconnecting existing sanitary sewer; and replacing, protecting and maintaining utilities. All costs associated with jointing dissimilar types of sewer pipe with a coupling or adapter shall be included in the unit price for this bid item. Furnishing, hauling and placing of crushed surface base course for pipe zone bedding shall be paid under"Crushed Surfacing Base Course". Furnishing, hauling and placing of import trench backfill (Gravel Borrow) shall be paid under "Gravel Borrow". The costs for potholing and excavation required to determine exact depths and locations of other utilities shall be considered as incidental to the work and these costs shall be included in the unit contract price. Measurement will be based on actual horizontal length of the combined sewer pipe constructed and will include the length of the nearest foot, through manholes and wyes. Bid Item C-12: Combined Sewer Manhole, Type 1, 48-inch DIA. Bid Item A-13: Combined Sewer Manhole, Type 1, 60-inch DIA. Bid Item A-14: Combined Sewer Manhole, Type 3, 60-inch DIA. Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each The unit price per each manhole shall be full compensation for all labor, material, tools and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the work as defined in these Contract Documents. The unit price per each manhole shall be full compensation for furnishing, hauling, and assembling in place the completed installation including all manholes, frames and covers, pipe connections, special fittings, and joint materials up to a depth of 10-ft as measured from the flowline of the outlet pipe to the surface of the Work measured to the nearest foot. The unit price of per each manhole shall also include, but not be limited to, all costs for excavation; hauling and disposing of surplus or unsuitable material; dewatering; sewer flow bypassing; furnishing and installing couplings; furnishing and installing steps or ladder; placing and compacting native backfill; furnishing, placing, and compacting foundation material as required; cleaning and flushing manholes; reconnecting existing sanitary sewer connections; and replacing, protecting and maintaining utilities. All costs associated with abandoning and/or removing and disposing of existing manholes as shown on the plans shall be included in the unit price for this bid item. Adjusting new manhole rings and covers to final grade shall be included in the unit price for this bid item.
