DESCRIPTION/JUSTIFICATION OF AMENDMENT, MODIFICATION, OR CHANGE ORDER: <br /> The purpose of the FFY 2016 Homeland Security Grant Program (16HSGP)is to support state and local efforts to prevent terrorism and <br /> other catastrophic events and to prepare the Nation for threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to the security of the United States. <br /> 16HSGP provides funding to implement investments that build,sustain,and deliver the core capabilities essential to achieving the National <br /> Preparedness Goal (the Goal) of a secure and resilient Nation. 16HSGP supports core capabilities across the five mission areas of <br /> Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery based on allowable costs. HSGP is comprised of three interconnected grant <br /> programs: State Homeland Security Program (SHSP), Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI), and Operation Stonegarden (OPSG). <br /> Together, these grant programs fund a range of preparedness activities, including planning, organization, equipment purchase, training, <br /> exercises,and management and administration. <br /> City of Everett—Fire Department has requested a contract extension,due to performance issues from the vendor. The vendor <br /> delivered the wrong item during the original performance period. The additional time is necessary to facilitate the return and <br /> reorder of the Search&Rescue Boat and accessories.Amendment A extends the performance period from June 30,2018 to <br /> October 31,2018. No increase to the overall award. <br /> 11. AMENDMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. Change the contract expiration date from June 30, 2018 to October 31,2018 <br /> 2. No Change to the contract budgets or overall contract award of$7,700. <br /> No other changes are required. All other terms and conditions of the original contract and any previous amendments thereto remain in full <br /> force and effect. <br /> Snohomish County and Subgrantee acknowledge and accept the terms of this contract amendment and attachments hereto and have <br /> executed this amendment as of the date and year written below. The rights and obligations of both parties to this contract are governed <br /> by this Contract Amendment Face Sheet and other documents incorporated herein by reference or attached and identified in the original <br /> contract document. A copy of this contract amendment shall be attached to and incorporated into the original agreement between the <br /> Department and the Subgrantee.
