CONTRACTOR SHALL WORK TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING DURING THE TERM OF THIS <br /> AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY: <br /> Development Business Line Work Plan—Attraction: Continue precision marketing strategies to attract <br /> businesses in key target industry clusters, including aerospace,advanced manufacturing, life sciences, <br /> clean technology,and maritime. The Contractor will coordinate with the City to ensure full alignment in <br /> pursuing these strategies, including in the development and dissemination of related marketing materials <br /> and resources. <br /> • Participate in a minimum of one(1)US trade show prior to March 31,2019, in the target clusters. <br /> • In collaboration with the Governor's office,the State of Washington's Department of Commerce <br /> ("Commerce"),the City,and/or other organizations,attend one(1)overseas economic <br /> development mission prior to March 31, 2019,when consistent with Contractor clusters,work <br /> plan and budget. <br /> • Manage all industrial recruiting projects targeting Snohomish County as referred to the <br /> Contractor by Commerce. Provide information on sites,workforce,utilities,taxes/incentives, <br /> transportation,permitting, etc. <br /> • Update the City regularly on recruitment activities. <br /> • Endeavor for one(1)new aerospace company to locate in the City <br /> • Endeavor for one(1)non-aerospace company to locate in the City <br /> Development Business Line Work Plan—Retention/Expansion: Promote growth and expansion of <br /> existing industries in Snohomish County in conjunction with the local and state economic development <br /> organizations. Work with the City, all local jurisdictions and business groups to retain existing high-wage <br /> primary businesses in targeted industries, including aerospace,advanced manufacturing, life sciences, <br /> clean technology, and maritime, among others.Work closely with stakeholders throughout Snohomish <br /> County to coordinate and lead the effort to secure the Boeing New Market Aircraft/797 within Snohomish <br /> County. <br /> • Contact at least fifteen(15)companies prior to March 31,2019, including small and minority- <br /> owned businesses,to identify and assist,when appropriate,with challenges inhibiting their ability <br /> to expand. <br /> • Endeavor for one(1)existing City aerospace company to announce expansions in commercial <br /> and/or defense. <br /> • Endeavor for one(1)existing City non-aerospace company to announce expansions. <br /> • Operate the Procurement Technical Assistance Center(PTAC)and the Small Business <br /> Transportation Resource Center(SBTRC)as resources for small businesses seeking federal, state <br /> and local public sector contracts. <br /> A-2 <br />
