• <br /> • <br /> • <br /> 1 D. Animal Kennel or Cattery - three types defined. <br /> 2 1. Hobby Kennel - Any facility or residence where more than two <br /> but less than six sexually neutered dogs or sexually neutered <br /> 3 cats or combination thereof, are kept for the enjoyment of the <br /> species only. In addition to the hobby kennel fee (see Chapter <br /> 4 VIII), each dog must be licensed individually at regular fees. <br /> 5 2. Private Kennel or Cattery - Any facility where more than two <br /> dogs or two cats of licensable age are kept, or a combination <br /> 6 of each in excess of three, which facility provides care, <br /> training of whatever nature, or breeding services and is not <br /> 7 operated for gain. <br /> 8 3. Commercial Kennel or Cattery - Any owner or broker who <br /> keeps, leases, buys, barters , or sells animals for gain; provides <br /> 9 facilities for breeding, boarding, transporting, exhibiting, <br /> grooming, including bathing or their cosmetic care, or provides <br /> 10 guard services. <br /> 11 E. Animal At Large. Any animal not confined to the premises of its <br /> owner, unless restrained by a leash, tether or other physical control <br /> 12 device not to exceed eight feet in length and under the physical <br /> control of a person, whether or not the owner of such animal, or <br /> 13 which enters upon land of another person without authorization of <br /> that person, shall be deemed at large. <br /> 14 <br /> F. Euthanasia. The putting to death of an animal in a humane manner. <br /> 15 <br /> G. Exotic, Wild or Dangerous Animal. Any member of the animal <br /> 16 kingdom which is not commonly domesticated or which is not common <br /> to North America, or which, irrespective of geographic origin, is of a <br /> 17 wild or predatory nature, or any domesticated animal which, because <br /> of its size, vicious nature or other similar characteristic would <br /> 18 constitute a danger of human life or property if not kept, maintained <br /> or confined in a safe and secure manner. Incorporated by reference <br /> 19 here are the state game department regulations principally the <br /> following: <br /> 20 WAC 232-12-015; WAC 232-12-030; WAC 232-12-040; WAC 232-1.2-050; <br /> 21 WAC 232-12-060. <br /> 22 H. Livestock. Includes horses, mules, jackasses, cattle, sheep, goats, <br /> swine, domesticated fowl and fur-bearing animals bred or maintained <br /> 23 within pens, cases or hutches. <br /> 24 I. Owner. Any person or legal entity having a possessory property right <br /> in an animal or who harbors, cares for, exercises control over, or <br /> 25 knowingly permits any animal to remain on premises occupied by him. <br /> 26 J. Sexually neutered. Medically determined to be incapable of <br /> reproduction or when the physical condition of an animal is certified <br /> 27 by a licensed veterinarian to be such as would prohibit performance <br /> of such medical procedure to render it unreproductive. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
