1 either the patrol vehicles of the Everett Police Department, the Snohomish County <br /> 2 Sheriff's Department or Washington State Patrol. If vehicles are to have any special <br /> 3 marking, coloration or designation visible, then such special marking, coloration or <br /> 4 designation shall be approved by the Chief of Police or his designee prior to use in <br /> 5 employment. <br /> 6 D. WEAPONS. No weapons or mock weapons or replica weapons shall be <br /> 7 exhibited, carried on person or in vehicles or otherwise used in employment as a <br /> 8 merchant patrolman (security guard). Provided, however, the Chief of Police or his <br /> 9 designee may authorize the carrying of a weapon upon written request for good cause <br /> 10 shown. Such special authorization may be limited in duration and/or scope. <br /> 11 E. CLIENT OR CUSTOMER LIST. Every merchant patrolman (security <br /> 12 guard) or merchant patrol agency or business shall maintain with the City of Everett <br /> 13 Police Department a current, up-to-date list of the Everett addresses of all Everett <br /> 14 clients, customers or accounts which he or it services. <br /> 15 F. No merchant patrolman (security guard) or merchant patrol business or <br /> 16 agency shall allow any person not licensed as a merchant patrolman (security guard) to <br /> 17 accompany a merchant patrolman (security guard) in the business activity of merchant <br /> 18 patrolman (security guard). This shall not apply to merchant patrol (security guard) <br /> 19 business/agency administration who accompany merchant patrolmen (security guards) <br /> 20 for supervisory purposes. <br /> 21 G. APPEALS PROCESS. In the event that the Chief of Police or his <br /> 22 designee find that an individual (agency, corporation, business, etc.) fails to comply with <br /> 23 Subsections A, B, C or D, as set out above, then the individual (agency, corporation, <br /> 24 business, etc.) shall be entitled to a review of the decision of the Chief of Police or his <br /> 25 designee if he files a written request with the City Clerk within seven (7) days of the <br /> 26 date of said decision. At that time, the decision shall be reviewed by the City Clerk, <br /> 27 the License Inspector and one representative of the Police Department (other than the <br /> 28 Chief or his above-referenced designee) who shall affirm or overrule the decision of the <br /> 29 Chief of Police or his designee. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> -4- <br />
