1 Section 7: BOND. <br /> 2 Every applicant for a merchant patrolman (security guard) license or private <br /> 3 detective license shall file with the City Clerk at the time the application is filed, a <br /> 4 surety company bond running to the City in the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000), <br /> 5 conditioned that the applicant faithfully comply with all the requirements of the <br /> 6 licensing code, both general and specific provisions, as they relate to the business of <br /> 7 merchant patrolman (security guard), private detective, or agency or business of private <br /> 8 detective or merchant patrolman (security guard). In lieu of a surety bond for each <br /> 9 applicant, a merchant patrol business (agency) or private detective business (agency) <br /> 10 may file with the City Clerk at the time of application, or prior thereto, a general <br /> 11 surety bond running to the City covering each and everyone of its merchant patrolmen <br /> 12 (security guards) and/or private detectives in the above stated amounts and conditions. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Section 8: INSURANCE. <br /> 15 A. Every applicant for merchant patrolman (security guard) license or private <br /> 16 detective license shall file a certificate of insurance with the City Clerk at the time <br /> 17 the application for license is filed. Such insurance shall name the applicant as named <br /> 18 insured and shall have minimum policy limits of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) <br /> 19 property damage, Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) personal injury per person and One <br /> 20 Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) personal injury per occurrence. In lieu of an <br /> 21 individual policyfor each merchant patrolman (security guard) in an agency or private <br /> 22 detective in an agency, the agency may file one policy or a certificate of insurance <br /> 23 naming the agency, as named insured, and covering all the individual merchant <br /> 24 patrolmen (security guards) or private detectives in the agency. The minimum limits of <br /> 25 such an agency policy shall be double the limits of the individual policy requirement <br /> 26 delineated above, to-wit: $50,000 property damage, $100,000 personal injury per person <br /> 27 and $200,000 personal injury per occurrence. <br /> 28 B. Such insurance coverage must be maintained in full force while applicants <br /> 29 are operating in the business of merchant patrolman (security guard), merchant patrol <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> -6- <br />
