1 C. Ambulance Service shall mean any person who operates an ambulance <br /> 2 within the City of Everett which meets standards as described in Section 2 herein which <br /> 3 repeatedly conveys injured or sick patients. <br /> 4 D. Ambulance Attendant, First Aid Vehicle Operator, Emergency Medical <br /> 5 Technician shall mean an individual, including drivers, certified in accordance with <br /> 6 Section 7. <br /> 7 E. Patient shall mean an individual who is sick, injured, wounded or otherwise <br /> 8 incapacitated or helpless. <br /> 9 F. Person shall mean any individual, firm, partnership, association, <br /> 10 corporation, company, group of individuals acting together for a common purpose or <br /> 11 organization of any kind, including the City of Everett, any other governmental agency <br /> 12 except the United States of America, the State of Washington, or Snohomish County. <br /> 13 G. Emergency First Aid Service shall mean any civil, volunteer, or fee for <br /> 14 service agency providing first aid service within the City of Everett, but not providing <br /> 15 victim transportation except in dire emergencies. <br /> 16 H. License Officer shall mean the Mayor of Everett or his designee who shall <br /> 17 administer and enforce the requirements of this ordinance. <br /> 18 I. Advisory Committee shall mean a committee as defined in Section 6. <br /> 19 J. Sick or Injured Person shall mean any patient who is unstable and unable <br /> 20 to take care of himself; any patient incapacitated by medication, requiring oxygen, or <br /> 21 who may require aid enroute. <br /> 22 K. Physician's Trained Mobile Intravenous Therapy Technician (I.V. <br /> 23 Technician) shall mean an individual certified in accordance with Section 7. <br /> 24 L. Physician's Trained Mobile Airway Management Technician (Advanced <br /> 25 Airway Technician) shall mean an individual certified in accordance with Section 7. <br /> 26 M. License Director shall mean that person in the City's Clerk's Office <br /> 27 designated in charge of licenses. <br /> 28 N. City Emergency Medical Services Director (Medical Director) shall mean <br /> 29 that individual designated as advisor for the City's emergency medical services program <br /> 30 as set forth in Section 11. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -2- <br />
