1 0. Secretary shall mean the Secretary of the Department of Social and <br /> 2 Health Services for the State of Washington. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Section 2: Licenses Required for Ambulance Service and Certain Emergency <br /> Aid Services. <br /> 5 <br /> A. No person shall operate an ambulance service and/or emergency first aid <br /> 6 <br /> service unless he files with the City of Everett License Director proof that the required <br /> 7 <br /> license/licenses have been obtained from the Secretary as required by State law. <br /> 8 <br /> B. No person shall operate an ambulance service and/or emergency first aid <br /> 9 <br /> service unless he files with the City of Everett License Director proof that the liability <br /> 10 <br /> insurance as set forth in Section 4 has been acquired. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 <br /> Section 3: Required Ambulance/Emergency First Aid Equipment. <br /> 13 <br /> A. Each person licensed as an ambulance service shall maintain at least two <br /> 14 <br /> fully equipped manned and operable ambulances at all times which must be stationed <br /> 15 <br /> within the City of Everett. <br /> 16 <br /> B. Each ambulance and/or emergency first aid vehicle shall be equipped to <br /> 17 <br /> meet the minimum requirements prescribed by the Secretary and shall also include the <br /> 18 <br /> following: <br /> 19 <br /> 1. Sirens and emergency vehicle lamps, which shall conform <br /> 20 <br /> with the rules and regulations issued under RCW 46.37.184, which shall be <br /> 21 <br /> used only in conformity with RCW 46.61.035, and applicable local <br /> 22 <br /> municipal ordinances. <br /> 23 <br /> 2. A two-way radio communication system capable of providing <br /> 24 <br /> communication between the vehicles and hospital emergency rooms and <br /> 25 the licensees headquarters. The licensee's dispatch headquarters shall be <br /> 26 <br /> staffed on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, with a telephone dispatcher and a <br /> 27 radio dispatcher qualified to process any and all calls. The telephone <br /> 28 operator and the radio operator may be the same person. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -3- <br />
