Medical equipment including but not limited to, an 2 equipment inventory equal to that published by the Committee on Trauma 3 of the American College of Surgeons in their most recent bulletin 4 entitled, Essential Equipment for Ambulances, three copies which shall be 5 kept on file in the office of the City Clerk and one copy on file with the 6 License Officer. The list of equipment may be changed and the list shall 7 be approved by the Medical Director. 8 C. Each ambulance and/or emergency first aid vehicle and its equipment 9 shall be maintained in a sanitary manner and in good operating condition. 10 11 Section 4: Standards for Ambulance Operator's License - Liability Insurance. 12 A. The License Director shall not approve any license for ambulance service 13 nor shall any ambulance be operated in the City of Everett, unless there is at all times 14 in force an insurance policy, in amounts recommended by the Advisory Committee as 15 sufficient which insures the owner of such ambulance, and his agents, against all claims 16 for personal injury, death and property damage arising out of the operation of said 17 ambulance and the care of patients, and that said insurance policy be issued by an 18 insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Washington. 19 13. Every insurance policy required hereunder shall contain a provision for a 20 continuing liability thereunder to the full amount thereof, notwithstanding any recovery 21 thereon, that the liability of the insurer shall not be affected by the insolvency or the 22 bankruptcy of the assured and that until the policy is revoked, the insurance company 23 will not be relieved from liability on account of non-payment of premium, failure to 24 renew license at the end of the year, or any act or omission of the named insured. 25 C. Every insurance policy required hereunder shall extend for the period to 26 be covered by the license applied for and the insurer shall be obliged to give not less 27 than 30 days written notice to the License Officer and to the assured before any 28 cancellation or termination of the policy earlier than its expiration date. 29 30 31 32 -4-
