Publicly owned ambulance/emergency first aid service or any 2 ambulance/emergency first aid service run by a political subdivision of the State of 3 Washington, or by a municipal corporation, or quasi-municipal corporation, may elect to 4 be a self-insurer and thereby be relieved of the duty imposed by this section. 5 6 Section 5: Duties of License Officer. 7 A. The License Officer, upon the recommendation of the Emergency Services 8 Advisory Committee, as set forth in Section 6, may promulgate, revise, or rescind such 9 reasonable rules and regulations as may be necessary or appropriate to administer the 10 provisions of this ordinance and to perform the duties assigned to the License Officer, 11 in conformity with the intent and purpose of this ordinance. 12 B. An authorized representative of the License Officer shall make such 13 regular inspections as he deems necessary, and shall make such reports relative to 14 conditions existing at such times and in such manner as the License Officer may direct. 15 16 Section 6: Emergency Services Advisory Committee (ESAC). 17 A. The Mayor of the City of Everett shall appoint an Advisory Committee 18 composed of the following: 19 1. One physician who shall be a member of the Emergency 20 Medical Care Committee of the Snohomish County Medical Society who 21 either practices or resides in the City of Everett. This physician shall 22 serve an initial term of 6 years. Each succeeding term shall be for 6 23 years. 24 2. One physician who shall reside or practice in the City of 25 Everett and who shall serve an initial term of 4 years. Each succeeding 26 term shall be for 6 years. 27 3. Two citizens-at-large, who shall be residents of Everett, one 28 of whom shall serve an initial term of 2 years and the other an initial term 29 of 6 years.
