1 application is filed. Insurance coverage shall be in the minimum amount of $100,000 <br /> 2 combined single limit liability for each accident or occurrence, insuring against any <br /> 3 claims or loss or damage due to any cause in the towing, storage, or releasing of <br /> 4 vehicles, and to indemnify the owners thereof against any loss or damage to the vehicle <br /> 5 or any article attached to or contained therein, while in licensee's custody. The <br /> 6 certificate of insurance shall indicate the licensee's extent of coverage, limits, and the <br /> 7 expiration date of said policy. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Section 5: LICENSE FEE. <br /> 10 The annual fee for a towing business license shall be $25. The license shall <br /> 11 expire on December 31 of the year for which the license was issued and there shall be <br /> 12 no prorating of the license fee; except that when the original application for the license <br /> 13 is made subsequent to June 30, then the fee for the balance of that year shall be $12.50. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Section 6: MINIMUM EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT. <br /> 16 Tow trucks shall be so equipped as to meet the following minimum requirements <br /> 17 for the towing of vehicles. Towed vehicles shall be towed by either sling and/or cables, <br /> 18 and be secured to the tow truck by means of a draw-bar or other connection of <br /> 19 sufficient strength to hold the towed vehicle on any grade where operated or under <br /> 20 conditions of severe braking and shall effectively eliminate whipping or weaving of the <br /> 21 towed vehicle. Effective boom-locking devices shall be used and safety chains shall be <br /> 22 attached to the towed vehicle. Booms shall be secured to prevent side swing. Tow <br /> 23 trucks shall carry a broom, shovel, one five-pound or two two-pound fire extinguishers <br /> 24 rated for gasoline fires, gas can and spout. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Section 7: EMERGENCY LIGHTING. <br /> 27 Tow trucks shall comply with all legal lighting requirements, and in addition, <br /> 28 shall have mounted thereon a revolving red light capable of 360 degrees visibility. The <br /> 29 revolving red light shall be used only at accidents or emergency or hazard scenes.
