1 an extension cord capable of being mounted on the rear of a towed vehicle. <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Section 8: INSPECTION REPORT - ISSUANCE OF LICENSE. <br /> 4 The Police Department shall furnish to the licensing official a written report in <br /> 5 connection with every application for a towing business license or renewal thereof, <br /> 6 certifying the result of inspection of the equipment of the applicant business and shall <br /> 7 certify whether the equipment of such business does or does not meet the minimum <br /> 8 requirements set forth in Section 6 and 7. If all requirements of this chapter are met, <br /> 9 the licensing official shall issue a license to the applicant, upon payment of the required <br /> 10 fee; otherwise, the license application shall be rejected until there is compliance with <br /> 11 the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Section 9: PLACE OF BUSINESS. <br /> 14 Any storage yard and buildings of a towing business which are located within the <br /> 15 corporate limits of the City shall be in compliance with all applicable provisions of the <br /> 16 City's zoning ordinances or shall be a legal nonconforming use. <br /> 17 Any towing business accepting for storage any vehicle ordered by police to be <br /> 18 held for evidence shall provide a secure building or other separate storage facility so <br /> 19 that such venicle is kept secure and separate from the general storage area for storage <br /> 20 of such vehicle. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Section 10: INSPECTION. <br /> 23 Every licensee shall make available its records and equipment for inspection by <br /> 24 the Police Department at any reasonable time and place. Inspection shall be for the <br /> 25 purpose of ascertaining that the tow trucks comply with the requirements of this <br /> 26 chapter, carry the required permit of the Department of Licenses of the State of <br /> 27 Washington, and comply with the requirements of the motor vehicle laws of the State of <br /> 28 Washington. If it is determined that the condition of a tow truck needs correction, the <br /> 29 operator or driver shall be notified thereof in writing, which notice shall specify the <br /> 30 defect or defects and the date prior to which the same shall be remedied.
