1 determined that a tow truck is in an unsafe condition, such written notice shall specify <br /> 2 the same, and shall direct the operator or driver to cease operation thereof <br /> 3 immediately, and until corrected. Such inspections will be made at no charge to <br /> 4 operator. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Section 11: DRIVERS. <br /> 7 All drivers must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid Washington operator's <br /> 8 license, and be able to demonstrate that he/she is covered by the insurance policy of the <br /> 9 towing business specified in Section 4. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Section 12: RECORDS OF CHARGES. <br /> 12 Upon the rendering of any towing service, every licensee or its agent or <br /> 13 employee shall record the charge therefor upon a record with sufficient identifying <br /> 14 information to ascertain vehicle, owner, nature of service and identity of person <br /> 15 requesting such service. Such records shall be kept for a period of at least twelve (12) <br /> 16 months. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Section 13: SOLICITING BUSINESS. <br /> 19 It is unlawful for any person to drive or operate a tow truck on any public street <br /> 20 or way open to the public for the purpose of solicitation of business, without having <br /> 21 been called to the location of an accident, disabled vehicle, or impound by the owner or <br /> 22 operator of the vehicle, his authorized agent or the police. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Section 14: LICENSEES AUTHORIZED FOR POLICE IMPOUNDS. <br /> 25 1. Licensees meeting the requirements and complying with the provisions of <br /> 26 Section 15 shall be rated "Class A" licenses. The Police Department is hereby <br /> 27 authorized to establish and maintain a list of qualified "Class A" rated licensed towing <br /> 28 businesses authorized for police impounds. Such list shall be reviewed at least annually <br /> 29 to determine if licensees listed thereon are remaining in compliance with the <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Page -5- <br />
