A fee for each building permit or inspection shall be paid to the Building Official as set forth 3 hereafter and in Table No. 3-A. 4 1. Swimming Pools. $ 50.00 5 2. Temporary Structures. The permit fee for temporary office structures, such as trailers, mobile homes, commercial coaches, 6 prefabricated structures, etc., shall be Fifty Dollars ($50) for one year or fraction thereof, and Fifty Dollars ($50) for each renewal; 7 except, this fee shall not apply to any site where a valid building permit is in force. 8 3. Combination Fees. When all permits, including building, (as set 9 forth in Section 303(a) 1. plumbing, and mechanical are issued on the same permit, then the plumbing and mechanical permit fee 10 shall be waived and when the plumbing and mechanical permits are issued on the same permit, the plumbing or mechanical permit may 11 be waived. However, equipment and fixture fees shall be paid as set forth in this Code. 12 4. Alternate Fees. When a building, plumbing or mechanical permit is 13 issued separately, the permit fee for each, together with all fixtures and equipment fees, shall be paid as set forth in this Code. 14 The determination of value or valuation under any of the provisions 15 of this Code shall be made by the Building Official. The valuation to be used in computing the permit and plan-check fees shall be the 16 total value of all construction work for which the permit is issued, as well as all finish work, painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, 17 heating, air conditioning, elevators, fire-extinguishing systems and any other permanent work or permanent equipment. 18 Where work for which a permit is required by this Code is started 19 or proceeded with prior to obtaining said permit, the fees specified in Table No. 3-A shall be doubled, but the payment of such double 20 fee shall not relieve any persons from fully complying with the requirements of this Code in the execution of the work nor from 21 any other penalties prescribed herein. 22 5. Safety Inspection. On request of the owner or his authorized agent, a safety inspection of any building will be conducted to determine 23 compliance with the minimum requirements of this Code. A fee for this inspection shall be charged as follows: 24 A. RESIDENTIAL 25 Single family residence $ 50.00 26 Duplex 75.00 Tri-plex through six-plex 100.00 27 Multi-family (7 to 50 units) 100.00 +$10 per unit over 6 28 Multi-family (over 50 units) 540.00 +$5 per unit over 50 29 30 31 32 - 5 -
