The Mayor and/or his/her designee together with each Department Head <br /> 2 employing Day Laborers, shall establish the rate of pay, therefore, within <br /> 3 the minimum and maximum rate based on the qualifications, experience, <br /> and background of each day Laborer employee. <br /> 4 D. In the case of Library Day Laborer employees, the Library Board together <br /> with the Library Director shall establish the rate of pay, therefore, within <br /> 5 <br /> the minimum of $2.30 per hour and maximum rate of $4.00 per hour based <br /> 6 on the qualifications, experience, and background of each Day Laborer <br /> employee. <br /> 7 Section 5: <br /> 8 A. There is hereby adopted as a part of this salary ordinance, a longevity <br /> schedule for full-time employees covered by the AFSCME labor contract <br /> 9 under a three-step classification based on years of service as follows: <br /> 10 After completion of 4 years, $ 25.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 8 years, $ 50.00 per month additional. <br /> 11 After completion of 12 years, $ 75.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month additional. <br /> 12 <br /> B. There is hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance, a longevity <br /> 13 schedule for full-time employees covered by the AFSCME labor contract <br /> under a five-step classification based on years of service as follows: <br /> 14 <br /> After completion of 5 years, $ 25.00 per month additional. <br /> 15 After completion of 8 years, $ 50.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 12 years, $ 75.00 per month additional. <br /> 16 After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month additional. <br /> 17 Section 6: <br /> 18 Longevity pay shall not be paid to part-time employees, Day Laborers, or employees on <br /> the pay range prefaced by "P", "E", or "H" in Section 2 above. <br /> 19 <br /> Section 7: <br /> 20 <br /> A. There is hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance, a longevity <br /> 21 schedule for full-time employees covered by the Everett Firefighters, <br /> IAFF, Local 350 labor contract based on years of service as follows: <br /> 22 <br /> After completion of 4 years, $ 25.00 per month additional. <br /> 23 After completion of 8 years, $ 50.00 per month additonal. <br /> After completion of 12 years, $ 75.00 per month additional. <br /> 24 After completion of 16 years, $100.00 per month additional. <br /> After completion of 20 years, $125.00 per month additional. <br /> 25 <br /> Section 8: <br /> 26 <br /> Thre is hereby adopted as part of this salary ordinance, longevity and educational <br /> 27 incentive plans for commissioned police officers. Such officers, upon becoming <br /> eligible, may choose to participate in either plan, however, in no case shall any officer <br /> 28 be eligible to participate concurrently in both plans. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
