Section 12: BOARD OF APPEALS. In order to determine the <br /> suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and to <br /> provide for reasonable interpretation of the provisions of this Code, <br /> there shall be and is hereby a Board of Appeals, as created by <br /> Ordinance No. 351-75, to pass upon matters pertaining to building <br /> construction. <br /> Section 13: VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES. It shall be unlawful for <br /> any person, firm, or corporation to install, alter, or extend any <br /> electrical equipment in the City, or cause the same to be done, <br /> contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of the Code. <br /> Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of <br /> this Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and each such <br /> person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offence for each and <br /> every day or portion thereof during which any violation or any of the <br /> provisions of this Code is committed, continued, or permitted, and <br /> upon conviction of any such violation such person shall be punishable <br /> by a fine of not more than $300 or by imprisonment for not more than <br /> 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> Section 14: PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS. <br /> a. Permits required, No person, firm or corporation shall <br /> install, alter, replace, or extend any electrical work <br /> or equipment except replacement of kind or as provided <br /> for in Section 15 Work Started Without a Permit", without first <br /> obtaining a separate electrical permit for each installation, <br /> alteration, replacement or extension from the Building Official. <br /> b. Application . To obtain a permit the applicant shall <br /> first file an application therefor in writing on a form <br /> furnished for that purpose. Every such application shall: <br /> 1. Identify and describe the work to be covered <br /> by the permit for which application is made; <br /> 2. Describe the land on which the proposed work <br /> is to be done, by house and street address; <br /> 3. Indicate the use or occupancy for which the <br /> proposed work is intended; <br /> 4. Be accompanied by plans and specifications as <br /> required in Subsection (d) of this Section; <br /> 5. State the valuation of the proposed work; <br /> 6. Be signed by the permittee; <br /> 7. Give such other information as reasonably may <br /> be required by the Building Official. <br /> c. To Whom Permits May Be Issued: A permit may be issued <br /> to anyone as permitted by Section 19-28,. Revised Code <br /> of Washington Annotated. <br /> d. Plans and Specifications; With each application for a <br /> permit, and when required by the Building Official for <br /> enforcement of any provisions of this Code, two sets of <br /> plans, service diagrams, specifications, and other <br /> information deemed necessary by the Building Official, <br /> shall be submitted. The Building Official may require <br /> plans and specifications to be prepared and designed <br /> by an electrical engineer or electrical contractor <br /> licensed by the State to practice as such. The plans shall <br /> be drawn upon substantial paper or cloth and shall be of <br /> sufficient clarity to indicate the nature and extent of the <br /> work proposed and show in detail that it will conform to <br /> the provisions of this Ordinance and all other relevant laws, <br /> ordinances, rules and regulations. <br /> .3- <br />
