19. Premise identificadon and all required F've Department access roads and fire hydrants <br />must be in service prior to commencement of conshvction. <br />20. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor burning. T6erefore, outdoor burning for the <br />purpose of disposing of construction debris c,: rubbish will not be permitted. <br />21. Fire safety practices during conswction must be in compliance with the Uniform Fire <br />Code, 19$5 Edidon, Article 87, "Fire Safety During Construction." <br />22. My security fence erected around the construction site must be Iceated so as to not <br />ob�truct any existing hydrant, fire protection equipment, or Fire Department access. If <br />Fire Department access is obsavcted, gates or other openings must be provided for <br />access. <br />23. Dumpsters over 1.8 cubic yards capacity must be located a minimum of five feet from <br />the building (UFC 11.302(b), 1991 edidon). <br />24. M approved fire suppression system must be provided for the gills, fiyers, etc. Plans <br />must be submitted to the Fire aud Building Department for review and approval prior <br />to installation. <br />25. The Washington State CPean Air Act requires the use of all Imown, availabie, and <br />reasonable means of controlling air pollutloa, including dust. Dust generated during <br />construction acrivities can be controlled by wetting those dust sources suc6 as areas of <br />exposed soils, washing truck wheels before they leave the site, and installing and <br />maintaining gravel construction entrances. Construction vehicle track-out is also a <br />major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can trigger violadoas and fines from the <br />Depaztment of Ecology or the Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Ageacy. <br />GENERAL INFORMATION <br />The Police Depamment has che following security recommendatioas: <br />a. Lighting of the pazldng lot s6ould be a minimuirt of 3-4 foot candl�. <br />A monitored fire and intrusion alarm system zoned for each entity should be <br />provided. To provide protection in case of armed robbery, include remote <br />panic buunns and/or foot trip if using customer counter. <br />c. If offices will be handling cash, an actual money safe should be installed (for <br />next day receipLc only). Scismic detectors and passive infrared alarm sensors <br />shoWd also be insialled in the room. <br />d. The perimeter doors should L+e solid core or metal with double cylinder dead- <br />bolts installed. [f doors open to the outside, or hinges ar� exposed, Pin hinges <br />should be provided. <br />e. If store front glass doors are pazt of the project, they should have loclong case <br />bo[ts top and botiom. The daor sttould have a ma�umum security dead-bolt with <br />1 3/4" throw and 3/4" laminated steeL . <br />f. Metal security Gay cioors can be secured with 3/8" case-hardened stoel hasps or <br />chain and padlocks with 1/2" case-hardened steelshackles. <br />
