I <br /> I1 The shafts shall be provided with a 4" x 6" (minimum dimension) flush handhole near the <br /> 2 base designed to prevent loss of shaft strength and provided with matching metal covers <br /> I <br /> 3 secured with stainless steel screws or bolts. The handholes shall be located near the <br /> 4 base and on the down stream side of traffic flow. A grounding nut or provision in the <br /> 5 handhole frame for accommodating a threaded bolt for the purpose of attaching <br /> I <br /> 6 grounding connector shall be provided on the inside of the shaft. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 All street lighting pole shafts shall be round and tapered unless otherwise noted on the <br /> 9 plans or approved by the Engineer. These calculations shall include the <br /> I 25 stresses in the pole and mast arms, the deflections at the free end of the mast arm, the <br /> 26 attachment of the luminaires to the structure, the connection between the mast arms and <br /> 27 vertical pole, pole section at handholes, base plate, anchor bolts, and foundation. The <br /> 28 submittal shall include the material specifications and details of the foundation and anchor <br /> I <br /> 29 bolts. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 9-29.6(5)Foundation Hardware <br /> I 32 <br /> 33 The first paragraph of Section 9-29.6(5) is revised to read: <br /> 34 <br /> I <br /> 35 Anchor bolts for Type PPB, PS, I, FB, and RM signal standards shall conform to the <br /> 36 requirements of ASTM F1554, grade 55. Nuts shall meet the requirements of <br /> 37 AASHTO M 291, grade A.
