1 <br /> B. Project Sign Materials <br /> 1. The Project Sign will be produced by an experienced professional sign company. <br /> 2. The Project Sign shall be structurally adequate and suitable for exterior application. Project <br /> Sign panels shall be constructed using a 4 FT and 8 FT, 3/4 IN new A-B Grade,exterior <br /> type,APA MDO plywood both sides. <br /> 3. The Project Sign paint shall be exterior quality,as specified in Division 9 or as a minimum, <br /> primer and finish coat: exterior, semi-gloss, enamel. Colors for the sign and structure, <br /> framing, sign surfaces, and graphics shall be as shown on the Drawings or as selected by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> 4. Prior to producing the sign, submit a layout of the sign to the Engineer for review and <br /> approval. The layout shall include content, lettering style and color and background colors. <br /> C. Information to be included on the Project Sign will include; <br /> 1. Project Name. <br /> 2. Owner's Name. • <br /> 3. Engineer. <br /> 4. Contractor. <br /> 5. Construction Manager. <br /> 6. Funding Agencies. <br /> 7. Construction dollar amount. <br /> 8. Company and Agency Logos. <br /> D. Coordinate Project Sign layout with the Owner prior to installation. <br /> E. Installation of the Project Sign: <br /> 1. The Project Sign shall be constructed with new materials and kept clean throughout the <br /> project duration. <br /> a. Install Project Sign where directed by Owner. <br /> 2. The Project Sign shall be mounted to resist wind loads as required by authorities having <br /> jurisdiction but not less than wind velocity of 50 MPH. <br /> 3. Prior to installing the sign, submit mounting design to the Engineer for review and approval. <br /> 4. The Project Sign shall be erected level and plumb. <br /> F. Remove signs, framing, supports, and foundations to a depth of at least 2 FT upon completion of ' <br /> Project. Restore area to a condition equal to or better than before construction. <br /> 1.6 CONTRACTORS SUPERINTENDENT'S FIELD OFFICE <br /> A. Establish at site of Project. <br /> B. Equipment: Telephone,telecopy, mailing address, and sanitary facilities. <br /> C. Ensure attendance at this office during the normal working day. <br /> D. At this office,maintain complete field file of Shop Drawings,posted Contract Drawings and <br /> Specifications,and other files of field operations including provisions for maintaining"As <br /> Recorded Drawings." <br /> E. Remove field office from site upon acceptance of the entire work by the Owner. <br /> 1.7 ENGINEER'S FIELD OFFICE(NOT USED) , <br /> 1.8 DRAWINGS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR CONTRACTOR USE <br /> A. Refer to General Conditions. <br /> B. Contractor shall pick up all "no-charge" documents within 10 days from date of Notice to <br /> Proceed. <br /> C. Additional documents after"no-charge" documents will be furnished to Contractor at cost.
