I <br /> 1 2-02.3(6) Sawing and Line Drilling I <br /> 2 When sawing rigid pavement, driveway, or sidewalk, the depth of saw cut shall be the full <br /> 3 depth of pavement. All mortared decorative or special pavement (e.g., brick, cobblestone, <br /> 4 paver block, etc.) shall be sawcut full depth along a neat line with intent of salvaging as many <br /> 5 units as possible. <br /> 6 <br /> I <br /> 7 Curb shall be saw cut full height and width. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Asphalt shall be saw cut full depth. I 10 <br /> 11 2-02.3(7) Salvage <br /> 12 Unless otherwise indicated, all materials of recoverable value taken from the discarded I 13 facilities shall be carefully salvaged and delivered to the Owner in good condition and in such <br /> 14 order of salvage as the Engineer may direct. Materials and things deemed of no value by <br /> 15 the Engineer shall be removed by the Contractor and become his property to be disposed of I <br /> 16 as he wishes. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 All castings and other materials removed from the existing utilities which are not to be re- <br /> 19 used elsewhere on the project, and which in the opinion of the Engineer are suitable for <br /> 20 salvage, shall have excess concrete, debris and dirt removed and shall be delivered to the III <br /> 21 location designated by the Engineer. <br /> 22 <br /> I <br /> 24 Removal of items noted as salvage on the Plans shall be removed prior to start of site clearing <br /> 25 by the Contractor, or by the Owner, as noted in the drawings.The Contractor shall coordinate <br /> I <br /> 26 removals at least 2 weeks prior to start of site clearing. Except as noted in the drawings, the <br /> 27 Contractor shall salvage, store, and reinstall items to be salvaged and reinstalled by the <br /> 28 Contractor. <br /> 1 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 (February 17, 1998 City of Everett GSP) <br /> 31 2-02.3(8) Waste Disposal <br /> 32 The Contractor shall provide the waste site for disposal of materials not required for the <br /> 33 construction. The Contractor shall arrange to dispose of waste at no expense to the City and <br /> 34 any such disposal shall meet the requirements of Section 2-03.3(7)0 of the Standard <br /> 35 Specifications.
