I 1 2-02.3(6) Sawing and Line Drilling I 2 When sawing rigid pavement, driveway, or sidewalk, the depth of saw cut shall be the full 3 depth of pavement. All mortared decorative or special pavement (e.g., brick, cobblestone, 4 paver block, etc.) shall be sawcut full depth along a neat line with intent of salvaging as many 5 units as possible. 6 I 7 Curb shall be saw cut full height and width. 8 9 Asphalt shall be saw cut full depth. I 10 11 2-02.3(7) Salvage 12 Unless otherwise indicated, all materials of recoverable value taken from the discarded I 13 facilities shall be carefully salvaged and delivered to the Owner in good condition and in such 14 order of salvage as the Engineer may direct. Materials and things deemed of no value by 15 the Engineer shall be removed by the Contractor and become his property to be disposed of I 16 as he wishes. 17 18 All castings and other materials removed from the existing utilities which are not to be re- 19 used elsewhere on the project, and which in the opinion of the Engineer are suitable for 20 salvage, shall have excess concrete, debris and dirt removed and shall be delivered to the III 21 location designated by the Engineer. 22 I 24 Removal of items noted as salvage on the Plans shall be removed prior to start of site clearing 25 by the Contractor, or by the Owner, as noted in the drawings.The Contractor shall coordinate I 26 removals at least 2 weeks prior to start of site clearing. Except as noted in the drawings, the 27 Contractor shall salvage, store, and reinstall items to be salvaged and reinstalled by the 28 Contractor. 1 29 30 (February 17, 1998 City of Everett GSP) 31 2-02.3(8) Waste Disposal 32 The Contractor shall provide the waste site for disposal of materials not required for the 33 construction. The Contractor shall arrange to dispose of waste at no expense to the City and 34 any such disposal shall meet the requirements of Section 2-03.3(7)0 of the Standard 35 Specifications.
